LoveInc Southwest Florida

Our calling resides in 1 John 3:18, “Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.” Love In the Name of Christ is a proven model that networks local churches, church volunteers, and community organizations together to help people in need. Through Love INC, churches and individual Christians are mobilized to work together, across denominational lines, to provide coordinated help with basic needs such as food and clothing, to longer-term responses such as life skills training, financial coaching and transitional housing programs. Founded in 1977, today there are more than 150 Love INC affiliates in 30 states, representing a network of more than 9,000 churches, 7,000 community-based organizations, and 300,000 volunteers meeting more than one million needs each year.

In 2009, with six churches from different denominations, LoveINC of South Lee and North Collier Communities (LoveINC) became an approved affiliate and a 501©(3) not for profit organization.

In September 2010, we opened our doors to the phone-in clearinghouse with the support of eight churches and a dozen local service agencies.

From 2010 to the present, LoveINC now has 21 covenant partner churches and works with over 50 service agencies partners.

The clearinghouse hours for intake are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to noon and we have recently expanded to include Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
